Humberto Guillen has been a long time supporter of the marching arts. He's put three of his own children through the Nogales High School band program, and various independent groups. Mr. Guillen is the owner of the On Track Transportation, Inc., and has managed the equipment transportation for OCI, Pulse, POW, Dark Sky Percussion, Broken City, and Odyssey to WGI Championships.

Pete Sapadin is a marching percussion specialist based in Southern California who excels at teaching his students the skills necessary to perform at the highest levels in the marching activity. Mr. Sapadin started his marching percussion career as a snare drummer with the Velvet Knights in 1987 and 1988 under Matt Savage and then went on to play snare drum for the Concord Blue Devils in 1989 & 1990, under Tom Float and the Cadets of Bergen County in 1991, under Tom Aungst.
Mr. Sapadin has been teaching and writing for marching percussion groups for over twenty years. Highlights include his time as head battery technician for the Velvet Knights under Tom Float, instructor for the Soka Renaissance Vanguard in Tokyo, Japan in 1998 - 2001 with Scott Johnson, Dave Glyde & Ralph Hardimon, Percussion Caption Head / Arranger for the Casper, Wyoming Troopers from 2002-2004, Caption Head / Arranger for the Yamato Drum & Bugle Corps in 2005 and snare instructor for the four time World Champion, Riverside Community College Indoor Drumline from 2004 - 2010.
After moving on from his time at RCC, Pete took over caption head/writing/show design/staff coordination duties for Orange County Independent WGI indoor percussion ensemble. His team earned the Bronze Medal in Independent Open Class at the 2012 WGI World Championships in Dayton, Ohio, and then went on to earn a Silver Medal the following year. Mr. Sapadin wrote the battery book for Pacific Crest in 2012 and 2013, and also taught and wrote for the Gold Drum & Bugle Corps from 2012-2013. Pete has been a featured clinician around the United States as well as in Taiwan, and Japan.
Pete Sapadin currently teaches and adjudicates percussion in Southern California and continues to demonstrate his ability to inspire, motivate and instruct students to truly become the best in the world. Mr. Sapadin is a highly sought after clinician and proud to be a Tama Artist, a Vic Firth Education Artist, a Remo Education Artist, and a Zildjian Artist.
Front Ensemble Writer / Show Designer
Clif Walker is an adjudicator, clinician, arranger, and composer with original works performed at PASIC, The Midwest Band Orchestra Clinic, DCI, BOA and WGI. He was the Director of Percussion at BOA Grand National Finalist Blue Springs High School (2011-2015), former design team member and front ensemble arranger for 9-time WGI PIW Championship Finalist Gateway Indoor, founding Director and arranger for WGI PIW Finalist Timber Creek Independent, and former caption head/arranger for Southwind Drum and Bugle Corps. He is an ensemble consultant with 2017 WGI PIA Gold Medalist Modulation Z and consultant/arranger with the University of Missouri “Marching Mizzou” drumline.
Clif holds a BSE from Missouri Western State University and an MME from the University of Central Florida and is a former member and instructor with the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps.

Visual Caption Head / Designer
Peter Beckhart has performed, instructed, and designed many competitive shows in the marching arts. His performing experience includes six years of DCI, aging out with the Concord Blue Devils. Peter also performed with the Riverside Community College winter drum line in 2011 and 2012.
As a visual designer for fall marching bands and spring productions, Peter has had the opportunity to work with many ensembles since 2009. He currently designs drill locally for Ayala High School, Savanna High School, and many other fall programs throughout Southern California. Peter is also a sought after choreographer for some of the best fall marching bands and winter drumlines in the country including Leander High School (Austin, TX), North Shore H.S. (Houston, TX) Ayala H.S. (Chino Hills, CA), Mt. Carmel H.S. (San Diego, CA), RCC winter percussion, and Dark Sky Percussion.
In the drum corps world, Peter taught the Blue Devils 'B' in 2012 and has been on visual staff of the 17-time World Champion Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps since 2013. He also is the drill designer for the Mandarins Drum and Bugle Corps from Sacramento, CA.
Peter is humbled to have opportunities to work with some of the best programs and students in the world and is always striving to be a better instructor and designer. He lives in Fullerton, CA.
Front Ensemble Caption Head / Instructor
Nick is a composer and educator who currently resides in Corona, CA. His performing experience includes six years of DCI and WGI. His marching career includes Velvet Knights (2010), City Sound (2011), Gold (2012-2015), Orange County Independent, and Broken City (2011-2016).
His previous teaching experience includes a variety of scholastic programs across Southern California and independent groups such as Orange County Independent, Elan Percussion, Gold DBC, and Vessel DBC. He is currently the front ensemble instructor for Glendora HS and Colony HS.
Front Ensemble Instructor
Angel Abonza was born and raised in Pomona, California. He currently resides in Ontario, California. He has been teaching for the past several years, and is currently the Front Ensemble instructor for Colony, Etiwanda, and Diamond Bar High schools. Angel started his percussion career while in his 2nd year at Colony High School. After graduating from Colony in 2013, he continued to pursue his career in the Marching Arts. He has performed with the Riverside City College Marching Tigers (2013-2015), Gold Drum and Bugle Corp (2014), Mandarins (2015), Pacific Crest (2016), and aged out with Dark Sky Percussion (2014-2018).
Andres performance experience include Savanna High School from 2005-2009, Impulse Drum & Bugle Corps 2010-2011 and Orange County Independent Percussion from 2011-2014. Currently, Andres works for Yamaha Corporation of America in the Professional Audio Division as a Technical Events Specialist.
Kyrt Hensch played tenors with the Black Knights and the Blue Devils and has been an instructor for many groups in Southern California over the years. Aside from being an avid drum set player, Kyrt is talented educator. He is returning for his second season working with Odyssey Indoor Percussion.
Bass Drum Instructor
Bryan Schwarz’s marching career began in Southern California at Glendora High School in Glendora, California. After High School, Brian marched with Impulse Drum and Bugle Corps from 2012-2014, where he studied under Niko Jasnievicz, Corwin Hendricks and Jaymi Gepner, Pasadena City College, where he earned Bronze and Silver medals in local PIO Competition, and Orange County Independent Percussion under Mike Jackson, Roger Carter and Kevin Shah. Bryan went on to perform in DCI with the Mandarins starting in 2015, under the instruction of Sean Womack, Mark Hunter & Robert Bowen, and then went on to march POW percussion in 2016 and 2017..
Cymbal Line Instructor
Ernie McLaurin is currently an instructor for Ayala High School Percussion Ensemble from Chino Hills, CA since 2004; Ernie is also the Cymbal tech for Mandarins Drum and Bugle Corp. Ernie has worked with numerous groups for the past 17 years, Ernie has also worked with various Drum Corps in different capacities, Impulse Drum and Bugle Corp. from 2002 to 2009 and Velvet Knights Drum and Bugle Corp. from 2011-2012. He past teaching experience also includes: Pulse Percussion, John Muir High School, Simi Valley High School, Garfield High School, Kennedy High School, and San Gabriel High School. He was a performer with the Sacramento Freelancers from 1992-1994, a bass drummer for the Cal State Northridge Matador Drumline from 1992-1996 '. Groups that Ernie has instructed have won many awards including Ayala High School 2010 WGI PSW World Champions, 2012 WGI PSW Bronze medalist, 2013 WGI PSW Silver Medalist and Impulse 2006 DCI DIV III Champions. In 2013 Ernie was a Cymbal instructor for Mandarins Drum and Bugle Corp, Ernie graduated from Cal State Northridge with a degree in Business Marketing. Ernie currently works in Real Estate and lives in Pasadena.
Ryan Mead is a visual educator and designer based in Southern California. His performance career spanned five years at Pacific Crest (2011 through 2015) and two years at The Academy (2016 and 2017), as well as a visual soloist position with Dark Sky Percussion in 2017. As an instructor, Ryan has been a part of the visual staff at Upland High School, San Marino High School, and South Pasadena High School.
Ryan is currently finishing an associate’s degree in History at Riverside City College, with intent to transfer and complete a degree in education.
